Canyoneering Tips

1. Arrival and Orientation

Meet-Up Point: You'll begin your journey at a designated meet-up point, typically a local tour operator’s office or a nearby parking area. Safety Briefing: The guides will conduct a thorough safety briefing, introducing you to the equipment and basic canyoneering techniques. Gear Up: You’ll be provided with safety gear, including helmets, life vests, and proper footwear. Make sure everything fits well for a comfortable experience.  

2. Hike to the Starting Point

Scenic Trek: The adventure begins with a scenic hike through lush forests and rocky terrains, offering breathtaking views and a chance to soak in the natural surroundings. Preparation: The hike usually takes about 30-45 minutes, during which you can get accustomed to the area and prepare mentally for the canyoneering.  

3. The Canyoneering Experience

First Jump: The excitement starts with the first jump into crystal-clear, cool waters. Your guide will show you the best techniques to ensure a safe and fun dive. Natural Water Slides: You'll encounter natural slides formed by the smooth rocks, adding a thrill as you glide down the streams. Cliff Jumping: Throughout the course, you’ll face various cliff jumps ranging from 10 to 30 feet. Each jump is optional, but conquering these heights is part of the adventure! Swimming and Wading: There are parts where you’ll need to swim or wade through the water, so being comfortable in the water is essential. Stunning Waterfalls: The route is dotted with beautiful waterfalls, perfect for photo opportunities and a refreshing shower.  

4. Midway Break

Rest Stops: Depending on the tour package, there may be rest stops along the way where you can enjoy snacks or a quick meal. Rehydrate: Keep hydrated with provided water or bring your own to ensure you’re energized for the remainder of the trek.  

5. Finale at Kawasan Falls

Grand Waterfall: The activity typically culminates at the stunning Kawasan Falls, where you can take a final plunge or relax by the water. Swimming and Relaxation: The serene ambiance of the falls provides the perfect end to your adventure. You can swim in the turquoise waters or just sit back and enjoy the scenery.  

6. Wrap-Up and Departure
